When I was a kid, I used to watch a TON of cooking shows. One of my favorites was this lady who made easy food. The kind of things real humans on a budget and with no time can make with every day items. It could be as basic as a can of green beans, but she would show you how to make a great meal with it.
That is how I cook sometimes. Other times it’s like the Bolognese from my other post. Lately, its been more of the easy stuff. And this recipe is no different.
My baked ziti came from originally wanting spaghetti...until I saw I had ziti pasta. Then the lightbulb went off.
I cooked my meatballs first. Now these are the “easy” part. I took frozen Italian meatballs and dumped them into a sauce pan with my spaghetti sauce. Those got covered and cooked on Medium for 15 minutes.
Right before my meatballs were done I cooked the pasta and drained. Once the meatballs were cooked and the pasta drained I added all into Dutch oven. Mixing in 2 cups of mozzarella cheese and topping with Muenster cheese.
Popped into the oven on 350 till the cheese was golden brown and enjoyed. This was so good. And so fast! We had so many left overs that when I made dinner the next day, the man was upset we weren’t eating the leftovers!
